It is true. It seems almost everyone thinks the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence...at least in part. Truth is, you have the ability to make your own grass grow greener. Many people say to me that they wish they owned their own business. They could set their own hours, get rid of their boss(es), and have true freedom. I tell them I can choose my own hours, whatever 60 or 70 hours a week I want to work while I am building and growing my business. I don't have one boss, I have 25 or 30 of them and every one of them is a client. There are certain freedoms afforded to the business owner such as choosing to run errands in the middle of the dayand not having to ask if you can take a vacation day. However, there are also different responsibilities...if I don't work, I don't get paid. With that being said, I've never been happier or more satisfied in my work. It's nice to daydream sometimes about a 40 hour work week.

You can landscape with indigenous plant species and not use Kentucky Bluegrass (unless of course you live in Kentucky).
